Jagriti Foundation began as a group of people who believed that meaningful change starts with showing up for the community. For years, we worked with students, families, and communities before giving our efforts a name.

Who we are
Education first.
Dignity throughout.
Education is at the heart of our work. We provide career guidance, mentorship, and awareness to students, particularly those from government schools and families with limited resources. Through our career-readiness and placement preparation programmes, we support students who have completed Class 12 or are pursuing undergraduate education but may be unable to continue regular college because of financial or family circumstances.
Our aim is not simply to help students find a job, but to help them find safe, dignified, and sustainable opportunities. We prepare them with communication skills, career awareness, workplace readiness, interview preparation, and practical guidance so that financial pressure does not force them into unsuitable, exploitative, underpaid, or unorganised work.
Beyond education and employment, we work with communities through awareness programmes and social initiatives. We encourage people to understand their rights and responsibilities, contribute to cleaner surroundings, participate in Save Water campaigns, and take collective action on issues that affect everyday life.
From sitting with a student to understand their career aspirations, to helping someone prepare for their first interview, to working with communities on cleanliness and water conservation—we believe that every small intervention can create a larger impact.

Jagriti means awakening. For us, it starts with something simple: sitting down with someone and helping them see what is possible.
Most problems we meet are not caused by a lack of schemes or services, but by nobody explaining them to the person who needs them. The work started before the foundation did — in 2019 we registered so it could outlast any one of us.
